Tara Thomas Tara joined Kirkwoods in mid 2011 and brings extensive experience in financial and corporate public relations, marketing and communications within the financial services industry. Tara spent many years at Deutsche Bank in Sydney working in the Marketing and Communications department where she worked on media relations, internal communications, advertising and event management. She worked closely with the bank’s analysts and built a strong rapport with financial journalists in the Australian media. Tara previously worked in an agency environment as a PR and Special Events Director, which included managing both the PR and logistics of a large three-day event in New York promoting Australia as a Financial Centre, which involved the Prime Minister at the time, John Howard. More recently, Tara has been involved with a small business and has been instrumental in managing its communications requirements. Tara launched her Corporate Communications career in London where she worked for 3 years at Citibank in the head office of 76 countries and reported to the Marketing and Communications Director. Prior to this, she worked in the news media in Adelaide during and following her Journalism degree attained at the University of South Australia.
