JUSTIN KIRKWOOD BA (COMM), M IntS, MPRIA

Justin Kirkwood has more than 25 years experience in financial services, funds management, financial markets, private equity, property and the infrastructure investment sectors.

Justin established Kirkwoods Corporate Relations in July 2004. Since then, the business has consulted to a range of companies and groups across all industry sectors, in the investment and corporate arenas. 

Before establishing Kirkwoods in 2004, Justin was the Head of Corporate Affairs-Asia Pacific for AMP Henderson Global Investors, at the time Australia’s biggest investment management group. In this role he was responsible for media relations, internal communications, government relations and strategic communication for the group’s Asia Pacific operations across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Justin was also the Head of Media Relations for AMP Limited from 1999-2002. Over his nine year tenure at AMP he was responsible for communication strategy for a wide range of corporate and funds management initiatives.

In the early 1990s, Justin’s career in corporate relations commenced with Burson Marsteller (Australia), where he provided strategic communication advice to companies such as Lihir Gold on its initial public offering and stock market listing, and the British Airports Corporation on the privatisation of Australian airports.

Prior to his career in corporate relations, Justin spent ten years working in the financial markets of Sydney and London as a capital markets broker with Tullet & Tokyo Forex and MW Marshall & Co. It was during this period, when financial markets in Australia were established and the Australian banking industry was deregulated, that Justin’s market skills were developed and sharpened.

Justin has a Master of International Studies (University of Sydney) and a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from Charles Sturt University, marjoring in Public Affairs.
